Hello

The thought of sharing your personal thoughts and feelings can be very daunting, especially with someone you hardly know.  I would like to share a little bit about myself to help make it easier.

My Story

Throughout my life, I have had my own personal struggles and I have watched and supported friends and family members through hard times and painful experiences.  I have experienced anxiety and depression and watched people who I love suffer too.  I am very aware of how crippling mental illness can be.  I have experienced counselling over the years have realised how life changing good counselling can be.  I no longer suffer with depression and anxiety as counselling has helped me to understand myself, accept myself and deal with challenges in a healthy way.  The realisation that I am 'good enough' has been life changing for me.

My life experiences led me to my career in counselling.  I knew that I wanted to help people in some way, so I began my journey on a basic counselling course having no idea what it entailed.  Almost immediately, I knew this career was meant for me.  I then went on to achieve my level 3 and 4 diplomas. 

 

At the heart of my work, is my belief that people have what it takes to reach their full potential and my aim is to provide them with everything they need to achieve that.  I have no expectations of my clients.  If they want to talk while I listen, that is fine.  Or if they are not sure what to say, that is also fine.  I aim to meet the needs of everyone as a unique individual.  We are all different and we experience, feel and deal with things in our own way.
